Other two couples of our clients became happy parents

At the end of October 2022, two couples became parents of gorgeous and healthy baby girls all at the same time.

Embryo transfer in the surrogate program for our clients G.A. and S.S. from Cyprus took place in the Nicosia clinic just before the war started in Ukraine. Upon her return from the trip to Cyprus, the surrogate mother came back to Kherson, which was her home at that time. No one could imagine that in a few days, her hometown would be occupied by Russian troops.

It took enormous effort to ensure the safety of the surrogate mother and that all medical recommendations were followed after the pregnancy was confirmed. A few weeks later, in agreement with the biological parents, we arranged the evacuation of the surrogate mother, and she successfully moved to Kyiv's apartment. The doctors of our partner clinic in Kyiv continued to monitor her pregnancy in a safer and calmer environment. In October 2022, a little princess was born to the couple in the maternity hospital in Kyiv.

As usual, the Cypriot Consulate issued a passport for the child within one day, and the clients left Ukraine with their beautiful daughter without any delays.

In the program of our other clients G.G. and J.G., embryo transfer to the surrogate mother occurred in the Kyiv clinic, also a few days before the war began. The surrogate mother was originally from the Donetsk region, which was on the front line of the attack. In the first days of the armed invasion, medical laboratories were closed. There was no opportunity to take a standard hCG test to confirm possible pregnancy. The surrogate mother repeated the urine tests several days apart to monitor the progress of the pregnancy.

Later we helped the surrogate mother and her family move to the neighboring region and then to Kyiv. In October, another angel – the baby girl was born in the Kyiv maternity clinic.

We want to thank the Brazilian Consulate for their prompt work and for issuing a passport for the child within several hours after obtaining all necessary documents. A bigger and happier family of our clients flew back home upon receipt of travel documents the same day.

Babies born to the couples from Portugal

Gostaríamos de partilhar convosco as histórias dos dois casais portugueses que iniciaram os seus programas de barriga de aluguer na nossa Agência ainda antes da guerra.

A transferência de embriões para uma mãe de aluguer no programa de nossos clientes V.S. e A.R. ocorreu em Setembro de 2021. Como costuma acontecer nos programas de doação de óvulos, a primeira tentativa de transferência de embriões foi bem-sucedida. A gravidez corria bem e os pais estavam ansiosos para conhecer a sua filha. A guerra começou quando a mãe de substituição deles estava grávida de 6 meses. Ela morava com a família na região de Donetsk, não muito longe da zona dos combates. Sendo assim, em meados de março de 2022, a pedido dos pais biológicos, a mãe de aluguer foi para Portugal, onde deu à luz uma menina no final de Maio. 

Considerando todas as circunstâncias, o governo português aprovou um procedimento especial de registo de crianças nascidas no âmbito de programas de barriga de aluguer em Portugal.

O segundo casal português, T.M. e T.M., também fez o programa de barriga de aluguer com doação de óvulos na nossa Agência. A transferência dos embriões para a mãe de substituição ocorreu em Dezembro de 2021, a gravidez ocorreu logo na primeira tentativa. A mãe de substituição vivia no território do oeste da Ucrânia, longe da zona de confrontos militares, pelo que não houve necessidade para ela se deslocar após o início da guerra. Seguindo o nosso procedimento padrão, no 7º mês de gravidez, a gestante mudou-se para Kyiv, onde deu à luz um menino saudável no final de Agosto de 2022.

Os pais vieram a Kyiv poucos dias antes do parto e estiveram com o bebé desde os primeiros minutos da vida dele. O Consulado de Portugal na Ucrânia emitiu todos os documentos para a saída da criança de forma célere e os clientes voltaram para casa no mesmo dia numa nova composição familiar.

Our egg donation and surrogacy programs in Cyprus

We arranged the traveling to Cyprus of two groups of egg donors in November and December accordingly. On these trips, the average result of the egg retrieval was 33 mature and healthy eggs per egg donor. Surrogate mothers of our Polish clients got pregnant with twins!

We continue with the news about the programs we run for our clients in Ukraine.

Recently, our Agency has seen a significant increase of inquiries from Polish couples. One of the reasons is that a lot of Ukrainian doctors who specialize in infertility treatments have suspended their practice. In addition, the procedure for taking a child home across the border between Poland and Ukraine is much simpler now.

Meanwhile, the results of our ongoing work continue to delight our clients from Poland. As an outcome of the last two programs, both surrogate mothers got pregnant with twins! Once again, on behalf of the team and our clients, we want to express our heartful gratitude to the doctors of our partner clinics!

Just to let you know, we organize programs both in Kyiv and Lviv clinics. These two clinics operate with the safety procedures and requirements necessary for the current time.

In addition, we arrange surrogacy programs with the frozen embryos grown and kept at the client's place of residence. Our clients can transfer their cryopreserved embryos to Ukraine using a safe courier service. This gives an opportunity for international clients to complete the surrogacy program fully remote.

Ukrainian egg donors traveled to Cyprus

Earlier this week, another group of Ukrainian egg donors returned from Cyprus. There they took part in the IVF programs carried out for our Cypriot clients.

On this trip, there was an impressive average result of 48 eggs per an egg donor! The number of retrieved eggs is more than enough to grow healthy embryos for the current and possible future IVF programs of our clients. Such a great result was achieved thanks to the well-coordinated and neat work of all parties.

The addition to the family of our clients from Lithuania

We have great news about the newest addition to the family of our clients from Lithuania!

Once again, this program proved that any goal can be achieved if people believe in themselves, and apply all their strengths to make their dreams come true.

Usually, when patients are older than 40 years, doctors recommend including the egg donor in the IVF program. However, our clients were confident in the positive outcome using their biological materials.

As a result, after preimplantation genetic screening for 24 chromosomes, only one embryo was recommended for transfer.

This required the Agency's more careful selection of a surrogate mother, not only from a medical point of view but also incredibly positive personality aimed at success. We reached the goal!

The embryo transfer occurred last December and resulted in a healthy pregnancy. Even the war that began soon after the transfer did not affect the optimism of a surrogate mother who, throughout her pregnancy, shared her positive vibe with intended parents and our team, sending photos and regular updates.

In August, a son was born to our clients in the Kyiv maternity hospital: he weighed 4320 gr. and was 56 cm in height! And a week later, they came back home with a newborn.

God bless them; we are so happy that one more story has a happy ending with our humble help!

Egg donation programs in Cyprus

We are excited to inform you that we have resumed egg donation programs abroad.

At the end of July, we organized traveling to Cyprus of another group of egg donors. They took part in IVF programs of our clients in one of the Cypriot clinics.

Even though the logistics of trip is more complex now due to the unavailability of a direct flight from Ukraine to Cyprus, we are able to keep the same old price for our egg donation programs.

As usual, our egg donors and medical staff of the clinic were on top during the process. As a result of the follicular puncture doctors retrieved 29, 18 and 40 healthy eggs from 3 egg donors accordingly. We see it as an excellent outcome of the well-organized teamwork of all involved parties.

We wish our clients a long-awaited healthy and smooth pregnancy, and we are looking forward to hearing joyful news from them soon.

We are working!

This is the first post in a while, and we have so much news to share with you.

Foremost, all employees of our Agency are safe and sound and continue working (mainly from the Kyiv office). We are sincerely grateful to all our clients for the words of support from the very first days of the war. It means a lot to us.

We are working and have not stopped the operation of our company for a single day.

Since the beginning of the war, according to the agreement with our clients, their surrogate mothers were evacuated from Ukraine. Many have already given birth to children and come back to Ukraine, and some expect childbirth soon. In the first days of the war, were evacuated seven pregnant surrogate mothers, two clients, and twins born prematurely under bombing on the 2nd day of the war in one of the Kyiv maternity hospitals (this deserves a separate story). In all cases, we were on top of all issues that arose and took care of our surrogate mothers and clients.

Some surrogate mothers who stayed during pregnancy with their families in Ukraine were relocated to safer regions of the country. In April, we arranged comfortable childbirth for twins of our Polish clients and received their birth certificates shortly at the Lviv registry office.

In May, our partner clinic in Kyiv started functioning at full capacity.

The clinic employees took all measures to ensure the safety of the clients' frozen genetic materials. Thankfully through mutual efforts, we were able to develop further our surrogate programs. At this point, we have performed six frozen embryo transfers, two of which have already received positive pregnancy results.

Given the current situation, we have reviewed many internal procedures in the Agency to guarantee the safety of all parties involved in the programs, especially pregnant women. We are constantly monitoring the existing situation in the war zone. We've made all necessary arrangements for the emergency departure of people from dangerous regions. We have rented apartments remote from the areas of combat actions. In addition, we have an agreement with maternity hospitals and civil registry offices close to the western border of Ukraine. These measures are taken to successfully carry out all our programs with the highest level of security possible under present conditions.

Considering the complex logistics upon the arrival of clients in Ukraine, we shifted focus to surrogate programs with frozen genetic materials, namely embryos or sperm (in the case of the surrogacy program with egg donation). This option is available with the frozen genetic material brought from abroad. Our partner logistics company provides reliable and fast transportation of your frozen embryos and/or sperm to the clinic in Kyiv. In this case, there is no need for our clients to arrive in Ukraine before the child is born. We can do such programs based on the power of attorney from our clients.

Twin babies born to the couple from Portugal

Our news related with parents from Portugal are ending up with the birth of twins: the healthy baby boy and girl. Our clients T.S.M. and A.T.P. became happy parents of these two little stars.

First time this couple initiated a surrogacy program with frozen embryos from Portugal at the end of 2020. Despite all the efforts, that attempt did not result in a long-awaited pregnancy. That was a huge disappointment and emotionally hard time for them, but our clients were determined and did not give up. And this is the moment when miracles happen.

They decided to continue their treatment in Ukraine and try one more time. As always, the doctors we cooperate with were on top of every step in the process, and did everything feasible to help our clients. The outcome of this attempt exceeded all expectations. The surrogate mother successfully got pregnant with twins and had been doing well during the whole period of pregnancy.

Without any complications, the surrogate mother gave birth to twins in the 3rd decade of January.

The Portuguese Consulate has issued travel documents for children in an expedited manner making the final stage of the program as smooth as possible for our clients.

Just three days before the Russian invasion into Ukraine, the Portuguese couple returned home in a larger family composition.

PS. Ukraine is the place where the dreams of European couples struggling to become parents finally come true. It is the place where new life is born.
