How to Start:
Key Steps and Tips
Programs that involve surrogacy are the most complicated in terms of organization and time period. This is why we suggest you to quickly go through the key stages of a surrogacy program.
At the time when Successful Parents Agency only started, it was, if we can use this comparison, the embryonic era of IVF techniques in Ukraine. Clinics opened and closed, embryologists praised the tendency to travel abroad to learn from everywhere it was possible, shifted from one place to another and experimented with various medias within different labs. That was the time when the question about success rates was asked the most among our clients. Which is natural as soon as the ultimate goal for you and us was to have the desired pregnancy from the very first attempt.
We watched how a lot of clinics (not only in Ukraine, but across Europe as well) tried to create complicated graphs and proofs of their fertilization techniques and capacities. And we compared those ditto percentages with the number of real success cases in our practice. The comparison showed back then it was possible for one out of five couples to attain pregnancy at once, say, from the first attempt. Some couples lucky and others were not so much excited, especially after two or three unsuccessful tries. It felt that research and scientific statistical work was a greater temptation for clinics compared to the instant success of individual cases.
Those were days when we were dedicated to search for best of the best. Best embryologists, more experienced and motivated doctors. We longed for higher standards of service and faster feedback (read: better care) on the medical side. It was strange to feel how client service was separated from the medical part in some clinics, while actually and especially for foreign couples it was something that should have come together at all stages. We wanted perfection and did not want to hear it was not possible.
It was more than that. When our clients asked us about success rates, we felt it was farther than one obvious meaning in the question. It was all about care, in every shade of its meaning. You would be ready to stay for the second attempt even if your first one was a failure, but you demanded transparency, explanations and quality reports, which was hard to get from the clinics’ part just 7-8 years ago.
The reproductive technologies were not so developed back then, and neither was the service. Luckily, that started to change, though only around 4-5 years ago, when local clinics came to realize that agencies know more about international clients and their striving for attention and personalized approach. Coincidentally, it was the time when doctors started to show more certainty in their forecast for pregnancies, and embryologists sounded more determined as for the medias and equipment they were ready to rely upon. The reproductive sphere in Ukraine continued to change rapidly, demonstrating immense growth in quality and results, settling as one of the most open-minded and rational, yet hungry for new experiments medical society. Ukrainian doctors began to deliver lectures abroad and train youth in the field of IVF technologies.
It was now possible to get more information from clinics, talk to them openly and in details about each and every case of our clients, provoke doctors’ initiative and advice to help patients better understand their situation and search for best solutions for them.
And, with the interest shift from research to immediate results the success rates were significantly higher, reaching as much as 40-50%. Obviously, we keep in mind not only surrogacy, but also IVF with egg donation cases. This data we proudly collected ourselves, based solely and exclusively on the cases of our clients carried out in our partner clinics.
Naturally, when it comes to the point of choosing your destination IVF clinic, we have come to select those few with outstanding service and highest pregnancy possibility. And to recommend doctors who care and listen, whose aim is to fight with you and for you, to help your child to be born.
